It addresses how cybercriminals use sophisticated techniques to deceive individuals into disclosing sensitive data such as passwords and account numbers, primarily through emails and instant messaging. The importance of awareness and caution regarding phishing signals is emphasized, such as tempting offers from suspicious senders or emails demanding immediate action.

Furthermore, the course details different types of phishing attacks, including Spear Phishing, Whaling, Watering Hole, and Smishing, each with specific methods to target victims and steal information. Emphasis is placed on adopting protective measures, such as verifying the authenticity of messages and being cautious with unsolicited text messages, to prevent falling victim to these cyber scams.
